The Conversation Starts Here

Whether you are at the feasibility stage of a new development, approaching a pre-opening, or managing a wellness asset that has never performed the way the investment deserves — this is where that conversation begins.

We work with a small number of projects at any one time. Fill in the form and we will be in touch within one business day to establish whether the engagement is the right fit for both sides.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work internationally?

We are headquartered on the Garden Route in South Africa and work on projects globally. Current and past engagements have included assets in Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. If the project is the right fit, geography is not a constraint.

Do you handle construction?

No. We are the owner's representative throughout the build process. We manage the tender, oversee contractors, review progress against the operational blueprint, and ensure the commercial intent of the concept survives the construction process intact. We are not the builders. We are the person in the room making sure the builders deliver what the owner actually needs.

When is the right time to engage a wellness consultant?

There is no single right moment. There are three.

The earliest and most valuable is the feasibility or concept phase. Engaging before architectural plans are finalised means costly operational mistakes, poor guest flow, and procurement decisions driven by supplier interest rather than commercial logic never get built in to begin with.

The second is pre-opening, where the focus shifts to recruitment, training, SOPs, and launch strategy. The goal is ensuring the facility opens with the operational capability to deliver what the business model requires from day one.

The third is when an existing facility is not performing the way the capital committed to it deserves. Underperforming wellness assets rarely have one obvious problem. Yield is usually being eroded across several areas simultaneously: service mix, staffing structure, pricing, utilisation, and procurement costs. We audit, identify exactly where the performance gap sits, and build a clear path to close it.

If your wellness facility has been open for two years and has never hit its revenue targets, that is a diagnostic problem. And it is a conversation worth having sooner rather than later.

Do you replace our architect or interior designer?

No. We work alongside them as the operational and commercial voice in the design process. Most architects and interior designers are exceptional at what they do. What they are not is wellness operators. We provide the technical brief that gives them the parameters to design a space that functions as well as it looks. If you have not yet appointed a design team, we have a network of reputable wellness architects and designers we can bring to the project.

Do you work with existing businesses that are underperforming?

Yes, and it is a significant part of what we do. The Asset Health Check is a structured commercial audit covering your P&L, staffing model, service mix, pricing architecture, and procurement costs. Most underperforming wellness facilities are not failing in one obvious area. Yield is being eroded quietly across several. We identify exactly where, and build a prioritised action plan to recover it. The audit pays for itself faster than most owners expect.

How is your fee structure modeled?

We work on a fixed-fee basis per project phase, covering Concept, Design Guidance, Pre-Opening, and ongoing Advisory where relevant. There is no open-ended hourly billing and no hidden costs. You know the investment before the engagement begins, which makes budget planning straightforward for developers and owners managing multiple workstreams.

What types of wellness assets do you consult on?

Integrated resorts, boutique hotels, private members clubs, standalone spa operations, residential wellness amenities, and bespoke movement and recovery spaces. The common thread is always the same: a capital-intensive wellness asset that needs to perform commercially, not just look the part.

What does the first engagement look like?

It starts with a strategy session. We review the asset, the current or projected commercial model, and the gap between the two. From that session, the scope of the engagement becomes clear. No work is proposed before that conversation has happened.

Can you help with staffing and recruitment?

Yes. Wellness leadership recruitment is one of the most overlooked contributors to underperformance. The wrong spa manager, wellness director, or therapist team erodes the commercial model regardless of how well the space is designed. We assist with role definition, candidate brief, and selection criteria as part of the pre-opening and turnaround scope.
